PAINTING PEACE FLAGS
ORGANIZER
Safety Harbor Art & Museum Center (SHAMc) & Speak Up!: Let’s Talk About Mental Health
DETAILS
This will be a joyful community art gathering focused on connection, creativity, and collective well‑being. For this project, participants will create peace flags using donated burlap, provided by Café Vino Tinto, bringing together local businesses, nonprofits, and residents in a meaningful act of community expression.
During this two‑hour, all‑ages event (10:30 AM–12:30 PM), attendees will design and decorate their own peace flags with imagery representing love, peace, unity, and community spirit. All materials will be provided, and no experience is necessary – just a willingness to create and connect. Once completed, the peace flags will be displayed in a public community space, with Folly Farms as the preferred location, serving as a vibrant visual reminder of shared hope, connection, and mental wellness.
